Social Justice and Anti-racist Anti-oppressive Forum on Education
SAFE is excited to announce it's Third Annual Conference on Nov 2, 2012.College of Education, University of Saskatchewan
Keynote Presentation: Dr. Alexandria Wilson
Dr. Alex Wilson received her Doctorate from Harvard Graduate School of Education and teaches in Educational Foundations at the U of S. She is Swampy Cree from the Opaskwayak Cree Nation and is involved in numerous research projects which include; the Aboriginal Education Research Centre's community consultations on the creation of a Virtual Health Human Resources Centre of Excellence, developing a method for assessing violence and safety in schools, gay, lesbian and two-spirit narratives from Northern Canada, and the criminal and civil justice systems response to Native American women who have experienced domestic violence. Dr. Wilson has also developed Land Based Graduate Courses in Saskatchewan and Hawaii. Dr. Wilson is currently the Director of the Aboriginal Education Research Center.
