You are invited
to attend a teach-in shedding light on one of the most talked about and
important social movements generated within Saskatchewan in recent years: Idle
No More. While the movement has stirred some controversy in the public domain,
the architects' vision is one of unification and collective action toward
health and wellbeing now and into the future. INM organizers Dr. Alex Wilson,
Erica Lee, Serena Gamble, and Dion Tootoosis will be on hand to share their
insights about the movement and field questions from the audience.
Please join us
on Wednesday, Feb. 13th at 4:00 p.m. in Education 1004 to discuss the efforts
of Idle No More; and, how we can work together to overcome obstacles of
life-blind ideology, ignorance, and continued investments in racial/colonial
oppression in order to safeguard our world for present and future generations.
We would like to
extend a special thanks to Elder Joseph Neytowhow for blessing the event and
sharing his wisdom on the subject. Refreshments
will be provided. Everyone is
welcome.
